Without the aid of the book and it telling me where to look I would not have seen anything, just a stone like any other. All motifs are faint and it took two visits, the second to confirm what I was actually looking at. However once I had identified the cup mark surrounded by the concentric rings it was obvious, though I can vaguely only make out one ring. The other cup marks are on the edge of the stone one of which I could make out relatively easy, two more I could just about see with the naked eye at the location itself. As for the comb motif which is supposedly close by these cups, I can not see at all.
The stone has now been discoloured by lichen etc. However there is an image on the stone circles website which can be viewed HERE which shows the stone in a more pristine condition and indicates the motifs.
