Bowl barrow situated on Telegraph Hill to the east of Winchester. It is a scheduled ancient monument, number 82, and has a central depression as a result of excavation. The South Downs Way footpath passes close by, and across the valley the gleaming white modern geometry of the INTECH centre can be seen in stark contrast to this Bronze Age barrow.

A few hundred metres further to the south-east (at SU525278) there are two smaller round barrows in poor condition. They are a S.A.M. number 78 (according to Hampshire Treasures) and there are corner marker posts presumably as a reminder that they should not be ploughed. From these barrows there are magnificent views across Fawley Down and over to the downs on the Isle of Wight.

Access Park at the Cheesefoot Head viewpoint car park on the A272 and walk along the South Downs Way path in the direction of Winchester.
