Long Barrow in Wiltshire

This prominent long barrow is up to 101 metres in length, 21 metres in width and 2.5 metres in height. There is a bridleway running through the gate shown and past the long barrow. It was partly excavated in 1865 when a primary deposit including up to four skeletons was discovered with a leaf shaped flint arrowhead close by.
