I visited this site today. It is very easy to access - park at the White Lodge Car Park on the A6 and follow the footpath signs towards Deep Dale. About 400m on, the path forks and there is a signpost - follow the path to Taddington (the right-hand path leading uphill) The shelter is on the right-hand side, just after a limestone outcrop which resembles a low wall. The entrance is accessible but rather hidden under trees. The shelter can be entered by anyone of reasonable agility - the roof is low but the floor is dry and solid.
