trystan_hughes would like to visit

TheCaptain couldn't find on 18th Sep 2019 I was foiled in my attempt to get to visit this due to a herd of boisterous bullocks blocking my way through the gate into the field. I chickened out and went back and around the long way.

The circle has been known as Avebury Down Stone Circle or sometimes Penning Stone Circle, It's actually thought to be the remains of a bell barrow with a massive stone kerb. There are now six large sarsens which make up half of the 16m diameter circle.
