ragebe visited on 24th Jun 2017 - their rating: Cond: 2 Amb: 2 Access: 4 Possibly the most boring site in the locale. Due to the rain in the last few years, the path(s) leading to the stone, are boggy and boots/wellies are advised.

Stephen's Stone is an ancient block of sandstone found hidden in woodland. It is thought to weigh around 3 tons.

In 1220 Stephen's Stone was recorded as "LE HORESTONE" and there was a boundary point in this area so it could be a boundary stone. It is thought to be about 3 tonnes in weight.
