Rock Art in Yorkshire (North)

This cup marked rock is featured on The Northern Antiquarian (TNA) - see their entry for Eller Edge (424), Pock Stones Moor, Thruscross, North Yorkshire, which has photographs, directions for finding the stone and a brief archaeology & history.

Also known as Boughey & Vickermann 424, their entry describes this as a "very large, uneven, rough grit rock with face with scooped-out areas sloping down to grass. Eleven possible cups and six basins."

England's Rock Art does not yet have any entry for this stone, but Pastscape Monument No. 48490 records three boulders at SE08956148, SE09046150 and SE08986148, the latter of which has cup marks with encircling channels. All three of these boulders are close together in the same field, the same as TNA's Eller Edge (432) and Eller Edge (431).

See 'sites nearby' below for more rock art stones in the same vicinity.
