A badly damaged Long Mound with possible Chambered Tomb in Wiltshire

Traces of sarsen at the south-south-eastern end of this badly damaged long mound suggest it may once have had a chamber within it.

    From Pastscape:

"A Neolithic long barrow, Grinsell's Bishops Cannings 91, is situated on Horton Down. It was possibly excavated by Thurnam in the mid-19th century, who reported finding skeletons in a long mound on Horton Down. Although now plough-damaged, the barrow is visible on air photographs, as a mound, with vestiges of side ditches, measuring 40m by 15m."
