King's Museum Temporary home of University of Aberdeen Museum Collection whilst the Marischal Museum is closed.

The main display is of 100 Curiosites from the museum collection with each item selected by a different person.

Interestingly megalithic material does rather well with three carved stone balls, iron age glass beads, bronze age neck-ring, neolithic burial beaker, flint arrowheads, palaeolithic hand axe and a jadeite axe head all having been chosen for display.

Open Monday-Friday 10am-4pm (Tuesday till 7-30pm)
Saturday 11am-4pm

The map reference quoted at the top of this page is wrong: correct location is NJ 93916 08216 (no.17 High Street).

(This temporary museum is so small it hardly seems worth the bother; the entire collection of exhibits would fit in a car boot!)
