Three Barrows (Furzebrook)
Three Barrows (Furzebrook) submitted by thartley : The view from the road, showing the nearest barrow with it's large trench through the middle of it. Just visible above the hedge line behind it is the thir barrow which seems to be unscathed (Vote or comment on this photo)
Barrow Cemetery in Dorset. Three barrows fenced off from nearby farmland with a telephone pole planted smack in the middle of them. Rabbits have dug into them but not disastrously so.

The one nearest the road has been actively cut into with a ten foot wide trench through it, the second is hard to recognise (I'm assuming the name on the OS 25K map implies there were three back when this area was surveyed) and melts into the remains of the first but the third stands proud. They seem to mark the highpoint of the horizon view from the east so as to be visible from the water at Poole Harbour, but I was unable to see them from a trip to Brownsea island so this theory is unproved.
