Stone Circle in Aberdeenshire

Haddo House and Country Park are very close to this site but it is outside the park area.

Note: One Night in Prehistory at Haddo Country Park, Weds Sept 17th. A look at the prehistoric objects held by Aberdeenshire Museum Service and a fire-lit talk in the woods!

Shethin
Shethin submitted by lembas : Front view of recumbent and what looks like two pairs of flankers. Standing on the other side looking over the recumbent one sees Beannachie with the flankers pointing out and upwards. Beautiful view, circle is in the middle of fields but was okay to reach by walking along the edge of Raxton wood and along a stone dyke towards Shethin farm. (Vote or comment on this photo)

One Night in Prehistory, Haddo Country Park, Weds Sept 17th by Andy B on Sunday, 14 September 2014
(User Info | Send a Message)
One night in Pre-history
Wednesday, September 17, 2014 - 19:30 to 21:30

A chance to see and learn about some of the fascinating prehistoric objects held by Aberdeenshire Council’s Museum Service, then out into the dark for a taste of life in those far-off times; no ‘electrickery’ at all - just stories around a fire in the woods.

SCOTTISH ARCHAEOLOGY MONTH PRE-HISTORY EVENING 7.30 – 9.30 p.m. Wed. 17th September.
