Balhalgardy Stone Circle

Stone Circle in Aberdeenshire. This appears on the 1:50,000 as a Standing Stone but on the 1:25,000 it is remains of a stone circle. The reality is far worse! In 1771 the local plan had 6 stones. By 1902 this was down to one standing stone six and half feet tall but all that is left is three pieces. They are supposedly cup-marked but I didn't inspect them closely enough to verify this.
