One of the best roads ever. Very fun to drive. Also nice to stop and take a look at the scenery, bring a camera!

I grew up overlooking Peterhill and the Cairn o'Mount. This area is full of the magick of ancient monuments and standing stones - as a child I loved the Dardannus Stone (on Corsedarder) and the wishing power of placing a stone on the top of the cairn. Stunning countryside all around and ancient history in the air you breathe - an area well worth visiting.

Condition:
Ambience: Magical
Access: Interesting by road
Just had to post a note saying how much I have been inspired by this spot. I live only about 50 miles south, in Brechin, and have been here twice. I intend to revist it again, for it must be without doubt my favourite destination for a day trip, especially by car, with such magical scenery on all sides. The roads can be demanding but it is more than worth the effort.
