Artificial Mound in Gloucestershire

Situated on a rise on the South Gloucestershire levels is St Arilda's church. The building is described as being built on a Tumulus. It can be seen from many miles around and is not far from a settlement, probably Bronze to Iron Age. When the church was to be demolished the villagers were incensed and demanded that it be renovated and left where it was. A Site of ancient importance and continual usage I think should be included here.
