Bishops Limekiln Car Park
Bishops Limekiln Car Park submitted by JimChampion : The back of the stone, illuminated by camera flash. The tree above is obviously a favourite perch as the stone is well coated with bird excrement. The log rail in the background is in front of what looks like a ruined fireplace. Perhaps it is the Bishop's limekiln? (Vote or comment on this photo)

Bishops Limekiln Car Park
Bishops Limekiln Car Park submitted by JimChampion : I know nothing about this stone other than the fact it is listed here. I've often driven past the car park and wondered. Stopped off and found it under a tree in the car park. To emphasise the car parkiness of it, my filthy vehicle is visible on the right. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Re: Bishops Limekiln Car Park by Anonymous on Monday, 04 March 2019
This is not a "Menir" - it is a limestone block left over from the lime kiln days. This Basal Chalk coarse-grained limestone can be seen in landslipped blocks in the field over the road and uphill a bit

....it seems that this stone is not a monument at all but just a random stone near the Limekiln (Pastscape)......
