According to RCAHMS, in this square there is a circle site at NJ 5439 4707. See the 1874 OS map for precise location on Brown Hill on the edge of Kimmonity Wood.

This was listed in the Name Book 1871 as "The remains of a small stone circle...the track of which is quite visible, the stones having been removed some time ago for building purposes." There is no trace of the circle now.

Although this site is named here as Kimmonity (or Redhill), RCAHMS give its name as Brownhill (or Hillhead of Avochie).
