A pleasant secluded stone circle in a mature plantation of fir trees. Someone, presumably the landowner, has taken the trouble to fence it off, clear the undergrowth from the circle and place a bench nearby.
Mentioned in the Name Book 1861 as "three stones situated in the wood near to Carse Gray mansion house" and listed as a possible four-poster by Burl.
