We are carrying out a resistivity survey on this site known locally as the Bullhide stone (circle) at Glenkindie. Our archaeologist through local knowledge has discovered three stones from this circle in a garden at Souters cottage in Glenkindie.

The New Statistical Account of 1845 and the Name Book of 1866 describe this as a Standing Stone while the 1868 OS map shows this as "Supposed Stone Circle (remains of)". If no-one could clearly recall a stone circle back in 1845, surely it seems unlikely that there could be reliable "local knowledge" of circle stones in 2004?
