This souterrain is fenced within an area of arable land. It is entered through the back end of the structure underneateh a lintel. Its extremely difficult and dont try going in head first as i did, because you'll get stuck!, its feet first or nothing. Once you round the corner of the souterrain, the floor deepens to a height of 1.40m so its more comfortable to look around. Its extremely well preserved i dont think many people go inside , despite its close proximity to Ballater, due to the problems of getting in!.. I'll post a photo when my scanners working. Steven Doig
