Chambered Cairn in Orkney. The recent excavation at the Outer Green Hill 'broch', NMRS ND38NW 9 at ND34258958, has shown it to be a Neolithic chambered cairn.

Archaeological excavations on a large mound in South Walls suggest that, contrary to a long-held assumption, it does not contain a broch. Instead, it appears to be a Neolithic chambered cairn. A two-week excavation of Outer Green Hill, adjacent to the road leading to the Cantick lighthouse, drew to a close on Saturday 29th June. Read more, with photos at Orkneyjar.
