Information on Corndon Hill 1 from CPAT records-
Barrow, 22m in diameter; 0.8m max height. A low spread of stone with a high point in the centre where a modern cairn has been built. Stone was probably also removed from the cairn to build the square structure whose foundations are evident 20m to the SSE. There appears to be a semi-circular addition, on the SW side which may define a secondary burial.

There are 3 other very close sites to find here:-
Only 7meters ESE of Corndon hill 1 is a turf covered ring cairn 6 meters diameter.
And 10meters North is another cairn a circular mound of turf-covered stone, 5.5m in diameter and 0.3m high.
Then 20 meters SSE is a square medieval structure probably built with stone from the big cairn.

I found and photographed the turf covered ring cairn (7 giant strides for me SSE) and also the circular cairn (turf covered, rather flat) 10 giant strides N. Good fun searching for them around the big one, but not worth posting the photos as they are just shades of green!
