TheCaptain visited on 20th Aug 2019 A splendid "modern" cairn at the top of the most easterly tip of the main Brecon Beacons ridge, just to the east of the summit of Waun Rydd, probably built at the position of an ancient cairn.

Coflein Record NPRN 246201 and 246202.

A cairn has been shown at Carn Pica on Ordnance Survey maps since the 1" to 1 mile survey of the early 19th century. Today the most obvious cairn at the spot is NPRN 246202, a modern "beehive" cairn. Just to the northwest of this is a cleared area with some stone debris on it. This could be the remains of a former funerary cairn.
