Cairn in Denbighshire

The site of the Bedd Emlyn cairn is further to the east than the rest of the "cluster", just to the south west of a different track which is forested to the west, and has fields to the east.

Access via a short narrow path, leading off the junction of the vehicular track. About 400 metres from the Bryn Beddau North and South cairns.

A disturbed centre, hollowed out, and some stones on its south east side.

A video including this site, Five Bronze Age Sites in the Clocaenog Forest and how to find them shows how to find this, and other nearby cairns.

Coflein records that "A pit, 8.0m by 5.0mand 1.0m deep, is thought to mark the site of a cairn. Excavation is recorded in 1854 and suggested for 1810. A monolith, inscribed in both Latin and Ogham (SJ05SE18), was removed in 1813 to the grounds of Pool Park House. The stone is now in the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff.
