Newbridge on Wye
Newbridge on Wye submitted by TimPrevett : The eastern side of the stone, picture looking west. This stone is just over 5 feet tall, heavily leaning, with what appears like cairn material around the base. It is adjacent a football pitch, and access is no problem. Parking to the north in a large layby. This stone is also the first I have ever driven to, so is a notable megalith for me! When I've passed my test, hopefully many more will come... Newbridge on Wye submitted by paulcmuir : interesting holes and markings some which align, the smooth side of the megalith looking like the undulation on the broken obelisk and pit. There also is a similarity to the way the holes in the obelisk look (Vote or comment on this photo)

Newbridge on Wye
Newbridge on Wye submitted by pab : Newbridge-on-Wye: Pen y bont Standing Stone. Stopped at this today, 12 April 2007, and it seems to have settled slightly since Shropshire Traveller's picture in 2005. It is difficult to be absolutely sure, but the angle of the holes on this face certainly seem slightly more acute, and the surrounding ground is definitely showing the signs of livestock using it for shelter. Newbridge on Wye
Newbridge on Wye submitted by paulcmuir : The picture was taken of a smaller Megalith which is situated underneath the main larger upright stone. At its base an internal cube section is cut, this generally interlocks into another externally shaped megalith. This then holds the upright megalith in a tilted position

Pen-y bont standing stone, Newbridge-on-Wye.
The stone is west of the village, not east.
