Chambered Cairn in Dumfries and Galloway. This long cairn was destroyed by excavation between 1969-71. The excavations by Lionel Masters revealed a complex multi-phase construction of the cairn.

In the first phase there was a shallow trench with 3 large pits containing 4 massive timber uprights. The trench was lined with stones around the sides together with a timber planked floor which produced an early 4th millenium BC radiocarbon date. At the northeast end there was a timber facade, in front of which was a stone portal or porch. The structure was burnt and covered with a trapezoidal cairn. Later the porch was re-used as a chamber and fronted by a new megalithic stone facade.
