Re: Carn Foesan by Anonymous on Friday, 19 April 2019
A damaged cairn. The site is accessible along well marked paths and forestry roads. The local rural district council drove an iron boundary marker into it. It is near the highest point in the historic county of Glamorgan. This site has much more impressive views than that undistinguished emininence which is marked by a trig point but is surrounded by trees. There are windmills to watch. A few metres to the south is a memorial to a five year old child whose body was found here by a fox hunt in 1902, his having gone missing from the streets of a town 10 miles away.
