Broch in Sutherland.

Quite well preserved ruins of a broch located near the main road. The walls are preserved to over 3.5 metres in height, while the general shape of the tower is oval. The walls are thickest in their eastern part, the reports from early 20th century mention also visible remains of a guard cell, a typical feature of Iron Age broch towers. On the SE arc of the broch remains of a ditch are visible.

The Borg
The Borg submitted by h_fenton : Kite Aerial Photograph showing part of The Borg (Broch). This broch is difficult to photograph due to the pattern of light and dark lichens that cover the stones. To help indicate scale - stood next to the wall in the kite flyer, now look at the size of some of the stones. 11 May 2011 (1 comment - Vote or comment on this photo)

Probably a good place to dress up, eh? Looking forward to seeing photos of folk in Star Trek uniforms at this site.

On the subject of props when visiting sites, top of my list is to have a pint of Guinness with this guy.
