Carreg Wen (Hafren) submitted by jfarrar : Standing stone in newly cleared part of Hafren Forest on slopes of Pumlumon (Vote or comment on this photo)
A Quartzite Standing Stone, probably Bronze Age. About 1 mile SE of the source of the River Severn. There was once a forest here which is marked as Hafren Forest on the OS map but the area near the stone has been recently cleared .

It would appear that my post/pics have been confused with a different site. My Carreg Wen is in Gwynedd. Perhaps a Y (the) before Carreg might differentiate?
