Hillfort protected on all sides by a stone wall apart from to the north where it is defended naturally. This hillfort was once home to as many as 60 roundhouses.

Conway Mountain submitted by TimPrevett : A closer look at the entrance, giving an idea of the view to the south and south west. To the right, immediately behind the rampart, is the Sychnant Pass; the area behind that is the Pensychnant nature reserve. The highest part on the picture is Tal y Fan - around which are located many, many ancient sites. (2 comments - Vote or comment on this photo)

Conway Mountain submitted by TimPrevett : 7am at Conwy Mountain hillfort; this hut circle - now defined by the ring of heather and few stones - sits upon the east of the hill overlooking the Conwy Valley & Estuary. Conwy Castle can be made out, with train and road bridges across the estuary from Llandudno. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Re: Conway Mountain by Anonymous on Monday, 28 March 2016
I've been looking at an old map of the area from National library of Scotland (i think England and Wales need to catch on ) and noticed that there is 11 stone circles listed within the Hill fort. Can anyone clarify this, or are they hut circles or the like?
The map is from 1899, and clearly show these as stone circle. This is a link

I used to live in LLandudno and visited Conwy mountain many times. There was talk of restoring the hill fort as all the stones are present on the sides of the mountain. Has this come to anything as I have not been there for about 5 years?
I have registered but not got my password yet.
