This unusual platform cairn known as Aber Camddwr lies on the banks of Nant y Moch Reservoir near Ponterwyd in Ceredigion. It was originally discovered in 1984 when the level of the reservoir was low. After excavation it was relocated stone by stone to its present position. It can be found along side the minor road that skirts the reservoir.

According to Coflein, there were two cairns within the reservoir - see Coflein ID 104101 and Coflein ID 284056. Both pages have descriptions and images.

See the comments section below for a link to a pdf on the history and archaeology of the Nant y Moch area including a map of the sites lost when the dam was built and the area flooded.

Page originally by Vicky, who says thanks to John Ibbotson for taking them there.
