Caerhun Chambered Tomb
Caerhun Chambered Tomb submitted by TimPrevett : The view west - notice the curve of stones in front of the chamber; Maen y Bardd visible to the far left. (Vote or comment on this photo)
The remains of a chambered tomb sitting upon the side of Tal y Fan, usually missed due to Maen y Bardd being much more obvious, both on the land, and on the OS map.

This is tucked into the mountainside quite discreetly, and is less than a minute's walk from the Caerhun Standing Stones (walk NW), or Maen y Bardd (walk NE).

The chamber is still capped and subterranean. An adult can enter if crouching. There appears to be the remains of some sort of forecourt on the south eastern side, with a mound about 30 feet in length to accompany.

This is a megalithically rich area, with majestic sweeping views to the south, and this chambered tomb is another delight to visit when in the area.
