Re: Deg Arbedd by Anonymous on Thursday, 12 September 2013
The suggestion that a 'rough translation' is 10 graves is implausible.

The mountain is not known as 'Deg Arbedd' but 'Foel Deg ar Bedol'.

The name Foel Deg ar Bedol is quite easily translated accurately as the 'Foel' ( high, bare moor or mountain), 'Deg' (fair as in attractive or pleasant', 'ar' (on) and 'Bedol' (the mutated version of 'Pedol' which is the small river beneath it.

The use of 'Bedd' as 'graves' is itself incorrect as 'graves' would be 'beddau'.

Excellent photography but imo a case of using an elaborate construction to make something fit the assumed facts....and there are not 10 cairns or graves visible from here.

I live here.
