Cairn in Gwynedd
Situated along a footpath that leads north from Waen Fechan Cairns 1 & 2 the cairn lies close to a boundary wall.
The cairn has an 8m diameter and it is raised in areas to 0.3m. The interior is depressed suggestive of an excavated cist burial.
The landscape is rich with prehistoric sites. I visited 5 identified prehistoric cairns within close proximity to each other and I suspected the presence of others in the area.
