A short horned cairn in Sutherland of Orkney-Cromarty type, with a polygonal chamber. It now reaches a maximum height of only 5ft behind the chamber.
Excavated by Curle in 1909. Before excavation the cairn had been somewhat disturbed but still stood 8ft high. It has been further robbed, especially on the N side. More at Scotland's Places
Note: Chambered cairns in the woods walk coming up on October 8th 2014. The Woodland Trust Scotland will be visiting several cairns that we barely have any details of if anyone is free and in the area. A final event for Scottish Archaeology Month.
