Ryder's Hill
Ryder's Hill submitted by graemefield : The low platform which is all that remains of the cairn. A long hike to get here. (Vote or comment on this photo)
There are the remains of a low cairn upon the summit of Ryder’s hill which dates back to the Bronze Age.

It consists of a circular platform that has a diameter of 30m and at the highest point a width of 12m and a maximum height of 1.5m, Butler, p.173.

There are now a couple of boundary stones and a redundant OS trig point.

The cairn is said to be the haunt of Dartmoor's Black dog, Shuck.
