domnortheast visited on 1st Aug 2023 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 2 Access: 4 Visited this last month and the surroundings are in a sorry state following clear felling of the forestry around the monument. The area is thick with brambles, tree stumps and general brash. The captone appears unharmed (possibly more by luck than judgement) but there is no sign of or access to any of the surrounding cairn material or other features as they are all buried under impenentrable undergrowth. Such a shame, this is a relatively untouched burial chamber and it deserves being shown more care and respect.

Burial Chamber (Dolmen) in Carmarthenshire

I saw this on the map and just had to take a closer look next time I was in the area, I had to go a long way to get in the area but I'm here now. Hopefully you'll have an OS map to navigate the maze of small lanes, just follow the road until it enters the forest, park here there's plenty of room. Take the path north for ten minutes then look out for a big stone off to the left under the trees. The stone or 'Carreg' is a really good sized stone covered almost totally with mosses, resting on a slight bed of cairn , you can just see under the stone at a few points. There isn't much cairn material but the size of the stone makes up for it. Even the forest is light and breezy but obscures the view which would have been considerable.
But it's been eight years ago now since my visit so it may have changed a bit, undergrowth rising, trees felled, that type of bit.
