Standing Stone (Menhir) in Gwynedd

Situated on high ground within a small pastoral field the Maenhir (long stone, taken from the Cymraeg/Welsh & Breton) can be viewed from the narrow lane that leads from Ceunant village. This is a similar stone to others in the area in that it is a tall thin stone standing at about 2m but tapering from the base. There are pack stones visible at the base and the stone appears to have been worked on its northern side creating a curved look. I did not notice any rock art on the surface. The maenhir shares the field with a rather chunky stone that may have stood at some point?

The maenhir is made more significant due to the presence of similarly proportioned maenhir standing in close proximity.

This standing stone is recorded as Coflein NPRN 420331.
