Lledwigan submitted by pab : Site in Anglesey (Sir Ynys Mon) This was the nearest I was able to get to this stone in an otherwise wonderful weekend - across a significant stream and several fields away! Firmly in private land, and insufficient time to locate the owner to ask permission ... something for another visit perhaps. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Lledwigan submitted by raythemapman : When we got to Lledwigan farm we found the MUD and other stuff was 6in deep. The young Welsh Farmer asked us what we wanted, when we told him we would like to take photos of the Standing Stone, he agreed, but we could not go into the field. This photo was taken from the farm looking SW towards the A55, the stone was 200m away in the next field. Get permission off the farmer if you visit this s... (Vote or comment on this photo)

Re: Lledwigan by Anonymous on Wednesday, 17 May 2023
Worth bearing in mind? - Although this stone is marked on OS maps in 'historical font', Historic Wales do not list it as a scheduled monument (unlike so many other standing stones on Anglesey). Also, the Gwynedd Archaeological Trust record describes it as "Suspiciously regular and very close to limestone quarry & similar in form to stones in farm buildings. Limestone does however break naturally into blocks and slabs."
