Iron Age rampart defended promontary fort on the southernmost tip of land which makes up the south west side to Plymouth Sound.

Rame Head has always been an important place, being right at the entrance to Plymouth Sound, a very important harbour. On top of the distinctive headland is the remains of a medieval chapel as well as the more modern lookout post and radar station.

Re: Rame Head Shocking Graffiti by AngieLake on Tuesday, 21 April 2020
(User Info | Send a Message)
A vandal has caused outrage after spraying graffiti on a large rock at a Devon beauty spot - just hours after an identical 'tag' was discovered on an historic Cornish monument.

Earlier today Cornwall Live reported how large blue graffiti had been found on a wall at the plinth next to St Michael's Chapel at Rame Head.

And it appears the same vandal has also been active in Devon as well.

This image shows the same 'tag' on a rock at Sharpitor near Burrator Reservoir on Dartmoor National Park.
