Dinas Gynfor
Dinas Gynfor submitted by pab : Dinas Gynfor Hillfort. Looking across the landward slope towards the west - the rampart is on the upper half of the slope, safeguarding the approach across the (wonderful!) reedbeds in the valley. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Hillfort in Anglesey

Defended naturally by cliffs on three sides and a double row of wall to the south, this fort has lovely views out to the Irish Sea.

Dinas Gynfor
Dinas Gynfor submitted by pab : Dinas Gynfor Hillfort. View from top of the hillfort, looking south across the reed beds. The rampart can be identified by the line of dried bracken on the left of the picture. The blue/grey colour in the slopes across the valley are all bluebels - what a shame the sun was not out to show them at their best! (Vote or comment on this photo)

Dinas Gynfor
Dinas Gynfor submitted by pab : Dinas Gynfor, location of Hillfort from the east. COFLEIN notes that the location has natural defences on 3 sides, with a rampart constructed between crags on the landward slope to complete the defences. (Vote or comment on this photo)
