Standing Stone in Dumfries and Galloway

This stone is in the form of a slab about 2.5 feet high. It is just above the A716 and has a superb view over the Bay.

For more information see Canmore site no. 61121 which adds: "This standing stone is situated on the edge of the raised beach 140m North of Terally Bridge. It measures 1.05m in breadth, tapering in thickness from 0.4m at the SW side to 0.25m at the NE side, and its top has been broken off 1.1m above the ground. There is no evidence that the stone is associated with the adjacent long cist cemetery."

Terally Standing Stone is on the landward side of the A716 to Drummore. You will see it on the right around 0.6 mile after New England Caravan Park. There is a parking bay around 250 yards on the left after the stone.
Canmore ID 61121 gives a full account of this broken stone.
