Dyffryn Syfynwy Stone Circle in Pembrokeshire

On the banks of the Afon Syfynwy this circle, also known as Henry’s moat, originally consisted of 18 stones. Reports in the early 20th Century (Bushell, Archaeologia Cambrensis 1911) stated that there were about 10 or 12 stones remaining undisturbed in situ and a pile of stones or cairn in the interior.

To the east of the circle three large stones, only one of which remained upright, were recorded. Another standing stone known as the Budloy stone is located close by.

The cattle are making a mess of the site and some of the stones are suffering from trampling around them.

The ring cairn is on private land but the footpath runs adjacent.
