TheCaptain visited on 5th Oct 2015 - their rating: Cond: 2 Amb: 2 Access: 4 Remains of a burial chamber with a splendidly nobbly capstone partly in a hedge at the east side of a field, which can be accessed via a bridleway to the south. When I was here I found it difficult to park anywhere nearby, and the short section of bridleway from road to field was very overgrown and almost impassable.

Located off a public footpath the tomb is bisected by a field boundary. It comprises a small capstone supported by four uprights. The stones littering the field may be from the original covering mound.

A second possible chamber with one upright lies within the field boundary to the east.

Note: Permission should be sought from the nearby farm.

Parc Y Llyn
Parc Y Llyn submitted by TheDuke : Like a giant turtle crawling from the under growth! Parc Y Llyn would probably be best viewed in the winter when the greenery dies back but she's nice to see in the sun on a warm day. I could only make out two of the recorded four orthostats and will revisit in the colder months to take more photos and explore more!

Parc Y Llyn
Parc Y Llyn submitted by TheDuke : Parc Y Llyn. Once you have passed Cromlech house on the right stop by this gate (pictured)to a bridal way also on the right. Follow the bridal way and you will see the Cromlech on the far left of the field on the left. There looks to also be remains further up the bridalway, maybe pushed into the bank during field clearance. Be respectful and walk the edges of the field to avoid any damage.

Parc Y Llyn
Parc Y Llyn submitted by TheCaptain : the remains were very overgrown on a horribly wet October day.

Parc Y Llyn
Parc Y Llyn submitted by Postman : There's supposed to be more in the hedge but even in winter there's not much to see in it from this side at least.

Parc Y Llyn submitted by rogerkread : Close up of the capstone with unusual grooved appearance (just weathering, you feel).

Parc Y Llyn
Parc Y Llyn submitted by rogerkread : Parc Y Llyn hemmed in by vegetation - mainly Yorkshire Fog (Holcus lanatus) which seems wrong for Pembrokeshire somehow!

Parc Y Llyn
