The chamber of this tomb is formed by a large capstone and 3 uprights, one of which is in a hedgebank within which part of the site lies incorporated. Additional stones in the hedge are a probable second capstone and three further uprights suggesting the remains of a passage of what is therefore presumed to be a passage grave.

I know I will be back soon, I think I was real lucky this time with the weather and dormant flora allowing some cracking views and access to this 'beautiful megalith'.

They looked like natural features to me - a bit too deep to be cup marks but I may be wrong. In any case they would have been appealing to the builders of this dolmen. September 2010.

Coflein says: "Dry-stone walling was noted between the orthostats in 1864 and stones in the adjacent hedge have been seen as further megalithic elements, possibly representing a short passage." - I don’t think that justifies calling it a Passage Grave however - change to Dolmen/Burial Chamber I think

The walk to this site is dead easy. The track which takes you to the tomb is concreted in the wheel ruts so you could take a wheelchair/pram down - this would get you to within 15 metres but the path a grassy beyond the end of the main track.
