Devil's Quoit (St Twynnells)
Devil's Quoit (St Twynnells) submitted by TheDuke : Something unusual I noticed on the smooth side of the quoit was this raised rectangle. It looks like quartz inclusion in the rock but has very regular sides almost like it has been shaped. Is it a natural phenomenon or was this done by modern or ancient people? Devil's Quoit (St Twynnells)
Devil's Quoit (St Twynnells) submitted by TheDuke : Another 'Devil's Quoit',one of 3 in a very small radius. I call this one 'Devil's Cup' firstly to avoid confusion and also due to the beautiful cup marks all over one side. A stone which needs to be seen up close ( with permission of course) to appreciate the ancient art forms carved into it. Well worth a look and easy to see from the roads side.
