Water Music Stone submitted by AngieLake : This towering stone is weirdly 'human' from certain angles. You can imagine what the Ancients must have thought of it. (Assuming it's genuinely prehistoric in its setting?) [Early Sept. 08]

my notes from Sept 2012.

On the map, this 12 foot tall stone looked like it might be a difficult stone to park for or to see, but was in fact easy. There was plenty of space to park under the trees beside the lane, and there were a couple of places to see through the hedge, and in fact several more places where I could see over the hedge, to view the stone.

By now, it was horribly wet and windy, so I didn't even consider trying to get into the field, but just satisfied myself with some zoom pictures of the stone over the hedge, which unfortunately mostly came out blurred due to rain on the lens and a shaking camera in the wind!

Visited this one today and it's next to the 'Music Water' caravan site, so perhaps we could have that added to the 'alternative name' line on the site page?

Just checked my two Cornish guidebooks - nothing on this in them, and a web search doesn't show much apart from this entry.
