This curious monument, still unexcavated, is a cross between a regular cairn and a stone circle. A circle on a shelf of land overlooking Machrie Bay.

It's not in Argyll; it was in Bute, then in Cunninghame district of Strathclyde region, now in North Ayrshire. All along, though, it has been on the Island of Arran in the Firth of Clyde. Likewise Aucheleffan.
