Goldherring stone
Goldherring stone submitted by Bladup : Goldherring stone. I believe natural markings, Pastscape is not so sure. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Rock Outcrop in Cornwall

Pastscape says - A rock at SW40982785, when seen in certain lights, appears to have traces of carving on its upper surface.
In the position given by Miss Russell is a large slab of granite, 1.8m square and 0.3 thick, resting at a slight angle on another large stone.
The upper surface of the slab, seen in early morning sunlight, has a few very vague depressions. They may be badly weathered cup marks but are more likely to be the result of natural weathering. In one place however, there are signs of what appear to be artificial markings. These consist of a series of shallow pecks forming a circular pattern 0.3m across.

Goldherring stone
Goldherring stone submitted by Bladup : Goldherring stone, Pastscape says the possible markings are on the upper surface, I didn't see anything there, the front had more going on but this still didn't convince me either. There is a bowl you can see in the middle and under the top stone that probably hasn't got there naturally (because of the top stone). (Vote or comment on this photo)
