Cairn in Isle of Islay. Upper Cragabus is a badly damaged cairn c. 0.33 miles SSW of Cragabus Cairn, situated on the edge of a pine forest. It is a grassy cairn measuring c. 10 yards across by 1.5 yards high. It has been denuded of stones save for a few field clearance stones scattered on the cairn. Two large pits up to 1 yard deep have been excavated in the interior of the cairn. The surviving cairn is a pale shadow of the original construction.

There is a listing of this site at Canmore ID 37620.

Entering Port Ellen from N take the R turn at the end of Port Ellen Distillery signed for Mull of Oa. Stay on this road of c.1 mile then bear L for Mull of Oa at a minor junction. Follow this narrow road past a graveyard for around a mile to reach Cragabus Cairn at Lower Cragabus Farm. Continue straight on for c. 0.5 mile to reach a lay-by at a sharp corner at NR 32626 44773. Head SE uphill towards the edge of the pine forest. Upper Cragabus Cairn is adjacent to the edge of the forest.

The lay-by as seen on Google Maps:
