Callanish 12 Standing Stone in Lewis

The single is stone known variously as Stonefield or Callanish XII (the 1928 Inventory called it Blair). The stone was surrounded by a plinth when the housing estate was built - and named Stonefield - in the 1960s, but research shows that it had not been moved - the houses grew up around it.
